Biography

My name is Sandra M Diaz.  I was born in Tegucigalpa Honduras, and grew up in a town called El Paraiso. I have a daughter her name is Gabriela Marie Lutz, she is 3 years old.  I went the National University of Honduras and studied Biology, with an emphasis in Botany.  My first teaching experience was as an environmental education specialist at the University.  Then I went to the south coast of my country and worked for the National Association of Aquaculture Producers in a water quality laboratory.  The Association gave me the opportunity to work as an Academic Coordinator for the Technical Degree Program in Aquaculture at the regional Agricultural High School.  I helped with a strategic planning project that LSU was conducting in conjunction with the Honduran government for the Aquaculture industry, and met my husband.  A few years ago I came to Baton Rouge.  I worked for 4 years at the Baton Rouge International School and as a home instructor working with Hispanic families for the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board before coming to Trinity Episcopal Day School.
